At this week's teaparty, the teapotters are trying to help Harry Hummingbird find his perfect mate... Yikes! He is a very particular fellow, so I brought Beauty. She's was colored with prisma pencils and blended with OMS. While still damp, she was brushed with complimentary iridescent chalks to try to mimic some of the natural luminous feathers of the ones I have seen in my yard late in the summer. She's hoping to end up as Mrs. H. Hummingbird since she thinks she fits all of Harry's requirements. You can even see how fast she can flap her wings since I just couldn't keep the fibers from blowing to the side of the card. Talk about hard to catch... I think Harry is going to have a hard time keeping up, let alone trying to choose!!! Sure hope she passes muster with his Mom & Dad!!

You did a wonderful job adding the shimmer to your hummingbird. I read recently about why they look like that - I just can't remember it right now . The fibres are a lovely fun addition too.

Tee hee!! Yes, she is just the right candidate for Harry and his parents! You did good....what wonderful sparkle, another very good trait for a lady in waiting! I love the embellishing fiber you used...genius to show the speed of her wings! The hint of sparkle and color is awesome. Oh, be careful...she might get lifted by another teapotter!
Thank you as well Grace for sharing the wonderful hummingbird link with the teapotters this week! Barbara will love your card!
