Today the Tuesday TeaPot Party takes us to Paris...
What a fabulous idea!
Thanks, Fran (philsmom), for the challenge and a chance to reminisce. And thanks for the bit of French as well!
I decided this gave me a great chance to get a bit ahead for a change, and make a card for a grandson who is now in college. He was one of 3 grandkids we took to Paris over ten years ago, so he will appreciate the memories. (And yes, we even flew first class due to storm delays and changes in schedules! Yahoo...!)
This is one of the first stamp sets I bought, and then I realized I had little opportunity to really use it - and I have no idea who made it.
I wanted to do this challenge to use plaid - makes a good masculine bg, but I had to make my own...: http://doyoustackup.blogspot.com/
And since making my own plaid BG is a new technique for me, it should qualify for: http://paperprettiesblog.blogspot.com/
I used this sketch: http://www.inkyimpressionschallenges.blogspot.com/
The TeaPot chellenge is here: MMTPT191 Forget April in Paris its too rainy; by philsmom at Splitcoaststampers
I probably have too many colors, but I wanted the bleu, blanc et rouge (blue, white and red) to be the main ones.
Oh, yes - dh suggested the phrase I used. Since it is for our grandson it is quite appropriate - and when dh gives a suggestion I can use, it is nice to take advantage. He is SO supportive!
