I made this card for the Queen of Challenges (Neva). I only squeezed 3 challenges in this card. I was having a hard time with the idea of making this card pink, or I would have done the color challenge too!
I was planning on using Dasher for this, but I just couldn't make myself do a Christmas card yet, so I settled for the deer from Nature Silhouettes.
I punched the deer out in an oval, and used my new embossing frame from Stampin' Up! Do you recognize it?! It's the square frame, flipped "upside down" and I trimmed it!
I stamped, then masked my sentiment and used the woodgrain, and also added hand-drawn lines.
I tried to make this "qualify" for the Ways to Use challenge today - boy toys. I know my husband sure loves going hunting!
Also for the technique challenge this week to use only one color of ink. I used Soft Suede for the image, background, sentiment and doodling.
Please come play along with the Queen for the Day Challenge and honour Queen 103, Neva, this week! Forums at Splitcoaststampers

This is a fabulous, yet simple card for a guy's birthday - not too fussy - that's how they like them - right? TFS!
