This top note quilted piece was from a swap--the papers are now retired, so I was ready to use it up. Makes a quick and easy birthday card.
Here's how I made it: Cut a piece of cardstock to 5 1/2 by 4 1/4--whatever color you want, it will not show on the finished product (except for the edge).
Cut 12 1 1/4" squares of coordinating designer paper. You can use a punch for this. This is a great way to us up scraps of dp.
Assemble the squares into a rectangle on the cardstock base. Use care in making sure that edges are even and adhered well to the base.
Cut the quilted rectangle with your Top Note die and finish your card as desired.
My finish included punching with the XL oval punch and adding the slightly smaller stamped oval on dimensionals.

I went back in your gallery quite a ways to find this jewel. But I'm glad I did because it was the perfect inspiration for a card I've been wanting to make. I love the way you used the top note die to cut the shape. Congratulations on your Featured Stamper status for this week. Have fun!
