What a wonderful site for today's Inspiration Challenge! I loved the different Christmas items and I chose 2 to use for my inspiration: 3 Lawn Ornaments and 3 Metal Gifts. I'm also adding this to the Fan Club gallery. I don't have a cat, but I do have a parrot that plays w/ the ornaments on the tree and snips the sequins off the tree skirt. For this Christmas, I'd really like for him to stop doing that, lol. I'm running out of sequins and time to sew them back on.
All images are DRS Designs. Despite how busy this little scene may look, it was actually pretty easy. The pine bough was stamped a couple of times w/ the green inks, the greeting stamped below it then the ornaments were stamped, cut out and added. The little kitty was also cut out and added on top.
The presents below are all die cut w/ a Sizzix die then the colors were mix/matched. I used the polka dot and plaid bg images to add the prints on them. On the broken ornaments, I just drew the zig zag line and cut them apart. The red button was striped w/ the white marker and I added a thin strip of foil for the tinsel. The bg layer was done w/ the woven plaid bg image. Finished card is 4.25 x 5.50.
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.

Julie,
I love the scene you created - and I have 2 cats - and it is absolutely true to form - broken ornament, tinsel pulled down, etc., etc. Your card is adorable!!

This has been catching my eye all day and I've been trying to make out the thumbnail!! I thought I needed to come in for a closer look and it is so quaintly CUTE. Love the fun sentiment and those broken balls tell their own story with that little kittie sitting close by. Your parrot would give this little critter a run for her money. Christmas blessings, Julie~
