I used the bottom right element of the second photo for my inspiration - those big pink flowers, and the way it reminded me of a screen took me to the Far East.
A2 base made from deep pink card (I guess this gets me in to yesterday's WT challenge too ). Then a black layer.
I made my collage panels more or less using the Serendipity technique that Patty linked to, only instead of using ink directly on the paper first I did Wrinkle Free Distress using Forest Moss and Broken China distress inks.
Then I stamped the Rubbernecker bamboo background with Encore Copper, and embossed with a mix of clear, gold and verdigris EP.
Then I stamped the flowers with ColorBox Pigment Magenta, and embossed with clear EP. Then I stamped the birds with StazOn black, and coloured with Perfect Pearls. It's a dull grey day here, I can't get the shine to show without flash, which would make the gold embossing look gaudy.
I stamped the sentiment from Asian Artistry on a scrap of white paper that I'd coloured with the Magenta ink smooched on my non-stick sheet and misted. It's cut with Spellbinders Mega Ovals and has the edges embossed with gold. I added two black gems and popped it up on foam.
