Finally managed to find a little 'stamping mojo' hiding in my "Rubber Room". I was starting to think it had 'jumped ship' when we were in Mexico. I love the QFTD challenge here on Splitcoast and have fallen way behind in making cards to honour our Queens - today I've actually managed to create two QFTD cards!
This week's QFTD is Rox71 who so graciously takes time to provide us with the SCS weekly sketches. When my mojo is missing, the sketch challenges are one of the first places I look for a 'kickstart' because the sketch is often all I need to get me going.
I didn't even go to Roxie's gallery - I just went to "My Faves" and searched for her name - yup, already had over 30 of Roxie's cards in my favourites. I chose Roxie's Butterflies and Soft Swirls card. With the exception of the card base, I found everything in the pile of 'scraps' I collected when I tidied the 'horizontal surfaces' where things collect in my Rubber Room. (Murphy's Law of Household Geometry: Horizontal surfaces are soon piled up.)
Changed the punch, designer paper, sentiment, added texture to the upper and lower white portions and added an extra layer. Love the results! I will send this to my oldest daughter as we haven't seen much of her lately and she loves getting cards in the mail.
PT: I used 4 different punches; several punches each. RYPH!!

This is such a sweet card. I really love that background embossing and the punched banner is a perfect backdrop for those gorgeous butterflies. So fabulous.

Yes, Murphy's Law of Household Geometry is in full force at our house, too. So glad it seems to be universal!!! I love the beautiful colors and papers you used, Izzy. Great CASE and awesome layers.

Izzy, you certainly have NOT lost your mojo. If it jumped ship, it found its way back. This is so clean, crisp, and such a delight. Just look at the favoriting. Way to go, my friend.

Simply elegant way to emboss - do only part of the card and you have done a fantastic job on this one - love the sweet and subtle hints of blue on a card whose main colors ae black and white - love those layered butterflies!

What a Beauty! I love the look of this card - so much going on but still kind of looks CAS (a little anyway). The embossing is wonderful, the colors are calming, and those butterflies are sooo pretty. This will be happy mail to your DD for sure! Hugz!
