This is for Betty's color challenge today, Cherry Night Cakes! I had all kinds of 4th of July themes running around in my head but eventually went with a somewhat country themed card. I think I changed my mind because I was looking through a K&C mat pack called Americana and I kept going back to the blue & white checked paper.
I hadn't used the little floral stamp from On the Grow yet so it seemed to work well with the paper and I always like to have plenty of "Thinking of You" cards on hand!
Stamped the image with Black Stazon on a new textured paper I found, watercolored the Hydrangea's in Cherry Cobbler & Always Artichoke and used Night of Navy to highlight the jar. I mounted the image on the checked paper and then again on Night of Navy. I used Crumb Cake to host my little sentiment, the ribbon and my teeny tiny Hydrangea flower punched with MS's Hydrangea punch. My dessert is kitchen twine wrapped around the Crumb Cake behind my bow.
TFL and welcome your views and comments. Have a wonderful day!
