The Stampin'B challenge selected by Vicki Gould this week is to make a collage card. I've never done one and was perplexed. I happened to have this awesome stamp my DH gave me awhile ago, but never used it as I didn't know how. It has 3 things I love all in one stamp - birds, text and musical scores. I figured monochromatic was the easiest way, especially after I tried to color part of it and it; well, let's just say, didn't work.
I was going to sponge and distress the panels, but thought with so much going on with the image, I didn't want to take away from it. I used part of the image, popped up on dimensionals to match up with the stamp on the card. I also stamped the bird twice and popped it up on dimensionals.
Added a flower combo, the center flower with text was given to me by Audrey Ann - thanks Audrey. The larger flower I dyed using soft suede. Added a punched border on the front and double on the inside. A musical ef was used on the inside soft suede layer.
I think that's about it. Hope you can come join in on the challenge. Just click on StampinB from my signature line to link up.
Thanks for taking a look and have a great day!

WOW Pamzi - this is FABULOUS! I love this stamp (DH did good!) and I love it in the monochromatic browns. This is a masterpiece for your first collage card - very impressive! Love that birdie spotlighted and popped, love the punched detailing, and *love* the fab flowers. Nice dye-job too !! BEAUTIFULLY DONE Twinzi!!!

Now THIS is an awesome card Pam! I love how you layered the images on top of each other and then popped up the bird. Thanks, too, for all your sweet comments in my gallery...especially my cork-for-sand-card. It's my favorite too...even if I say so myself. LOL...
Take care My Friend!

Pam, you said awhile ago that you were going to try collage and I've been waiting. I love doing it, but I find it very difficult. You have done a spectacular job...it's perfectly laid out and I LOVE your beatuful muted earth tones. Way to go!!

...sure its got a catchy beat, but can you stamp to it?
