My son likes to dress up on occasion so I made him this "Birthday Suit" card to celebrate his 20th birthday. I used a tutorial by Jackie Topa as inspiration for this card. (http://jackietopa.typepad.com/addict...s-day-car.html ) I wanted the card to be larger than Jackie's sample (6.25 X 5 inches vs 5.25 X 4 inches) and I wanted to use some Herringbone paper I had in my stash instead of the black cardstock shown in the tutorial. Since the Herringbone paper was not double sided, I just cut two pieces and glued them together so I could fold back the paper to make the lapels. THe cream cardstock I used for the shirt is slightl y ribbed so it looks fairly realistic I used some buttons I had cut off of a worn out sweater. I also cut up an old silk tie to make my little tie and pocket handkerchief. Thanks for looking!

This card made me squeel with delight!!!! How fun! The herringbone dp is perfect and you were so clever to make it 2 sided for the lapel. The detailing is so incredible that I don't even know what else to say, it's all wonderful. TFS and congrats on being chosen as a favorite for the week!
