Terrific challenge! Haven't used newsprint in a long while. We stopped the paper delivery because of the problems we had w/ the delivery so we usually just go out and get a paper on Sunday. It figures the one Sunday we didn't is the day before this challenge. I ran downstairs to check the recycle bin and luckily, there was one little local paper from Saturday's mail! Yay!
I started by die cutting a bunch of lacy circles and flower circles out of the newsprint. A bunch of the tulip images were stamped w/ the VersaFine onto more newsprint and cut out. A little color was added w/ markers on the stamped tulips and w/ the Distress inks on the die cut flowers. I arranged the tulips on a card board circle and put the layers of circles together and stitched a couple of buttons thru the center. Then I crumpled the layers and attached it in the center of the tulip circle.
The lg fancy label was stamped w/ the concord ink and die cut. I traced around the die onto the grape c/s and cut it out. The sentiment was stamped and I shadowed it w/ a marker. The finished vanilla card measures 5.5 x 4.25.
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.
