Hi Everyone!
I checked out today's "Try a New Technique" challenge TLC317 ~ Newsworthy ~ (03/21/11) by Toy at Splitcoaststampers
and just about passed but I am so glad I didn't!
We were asked to use newspaper!!!! ;)
Grung really isn't my thing but My "grungy" roses turned out pretty cool if I say so myself!
The size of the card was determined by the size of yesterday's crossword puzzle. (I know that the words don't work up and down but they fit across and that made me happy! ;)
I lucked out with the green news print. It was already colored. I just dabbed a bit of darker green on for contrast. I shaped the roses then sprayed them with Glimmer Mist.
I teamed up all of the grung with some very nice hand-dyed silk from Really Reasobable Ribbon then added a Vintage brad and some pearls from Creative Charms. The paper is Paper Trey Ink's - Soft Stone.
I am a designer paper type of girl so this was sure a twist for me! Thanks Toy for making me think outside the box today! It was fun!

Hugs,
True
PS...I would love it if you left me a little love today!

Apart from the wonderfully creative flowers which everyone has commented on, the message you got to fit into the puzzle is brilliant. I love your card.
