1. this week's sketch challenge SC321
2. CAS108 the great outdoors; and
3. WT310 stunning Silhouettes
I am really excited about this card, because I utilized a new technique I learned this week at Archiver's. Well, maybe this isn't actually a technique, but they taught us how to take plain white lace and paint it using Aqua-flo brushes and Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I have never used Aqua-flo brushes before either, so I was excited about finally buying some and using them on my card. To add a little extra color to the silhouette squares I swiped the distress ink (dried marigold) direct on the paper down the sides. The lace, I painted (or dyed) the top half with broken china, and the bottom half with dried marigold to highlight the background DP.
The silhouettes, including the tiny dragonfly, are from one stamp set from Hero Arts.
Don't know who is going to get this card, but I sure had fun making it. Thanks for stopping by, and I always appreciate your comments
