This is my card for the sketch challenge today....thanks again Roxie. I had the idea in my head, but the translation of it took a bit longer....KWIM? I stamped the girl image in versamark and embossed it with clear powder onto WW. I then stippled around it with peach parfait, then Daffodil Delight (this was after I tried sponge daubers and sponges). I used Sunny Garden DSP for one of the layers, but didn't like the muted tones of the other pieces....so I dry embossed a bottom layer in pear Pizazz, and used Mary Fish's idea for making rickrack with my scallop punch(http://www.stampinpretty.com/creating-rick-rack.html). I ran them through the dot folder too, to keep the theme going. I added a sentiment, some flowers and pearls and was finally satisfied with my card....whew!
I love this sketch....thanks Roxie for bringing it to us, and I thank you for looking at my card!

What gorgeous colors, they sizzle!!! Love your faux ric rac, I've never done that before. Wonderful sponging around the silhouette, this really sings...."SPRING" !!!

Fabulous sunny colours and a gorgeous card. I must try that ric-rac with a punch - I bet it's a whole lot easier than scallop scissors, which is what I usually do.

How wonderful this technique is!! Resist really shows up that wonderful silhouette. Great choice of colors, and the rickrack-y strips are fab!!! Love it!
