Following from a thread on the Products section where someone was asking about grunge paper, I decided it was time to use up some of mine and try Tim Holtz's rose tutorial from the 12 Tags of Christmas.
So I was delighted to find this Notes Vase, from which I featured the rose, and then for the little clipboard on the vase I used a tag with a mini clip.
A2 base, sponged with Forest Moss. Next layer is white card sponged with Fired Brick and Spiced Marmalade. I tried Monday's embossing technique on my embossed panel, but got too much Versamark and EP on the whole thing, so I brushed it off and just dusted the embossed parts with Heirloom Gold Perfect Pearls. Embossed layer and tag (Sizzix Tags #3, layered on chipboard for extra strengh) are from the Basic Grey basics manilla pad.
For the rose I used Spellbinders Blossoms 1, which has one more petal than the die Tim used but seems to work OK, grunge paper, Scattered Straw and Fired Brick re-inkers and Perfect Gold and Plum Perfect Pearls. The leaves are pressed rose leaves, Hero Arts sentiment and a WRMK clip. Tag is popped up on foam, Glossy Accents dew drops added to the rose and Liquid Pearls accents in the corners.
DH doesn't do Valentine's, so I made this into an anniversary card which I will now have to put somewhere safe and remember where that was, come June!

So much to like about this card! How about everything?! The rose is amazing! The corners are great! The embossing and dusting, and the clip and tag! Wow!

Sabrina, that vase was fabulous, I love it, but your rose is REALLY fabulous - the dew drops on it look totally real - this is very beautiful, you completly nailed your inspiration piece!!
And you even used real rose leaves!!
