At first I was going to go with mice or music for my card based on the Nutcracker but thought I'd refresh my memory on the story - I'd forgotten that in Act II Clara and the Nutcracker prince are treated to a celebration of sweets by the Sugar Plum fairy which includes dancers representing tea and coffee too!! So I've gone that route instead. The card base is covered with October Afternoon dp and sponged with Ranger Distress ink around the edges. I punched a border in red and cream adding pearls. I wove SU red ribbon through a piece of lace trim and added that. The oval is cut with Nestabilities Ovals Small and sponged while in the die. The tea cup is by Kim Costello for January's issue of Craft Stamper magazine (UK). It was paper pieced and popped up in two layers and sponged on the edges. I colored the holly with copics, popped that up and added clear gems colored with a red copic. The sentiment is from Elzybells.
