I made this simple layout Christmas card. I love snowmen and this snowman is from a 1999 SU Retired set.
I used SU Candy Cane Christmas DSP and white card stock embossed with snow swirls. Flower soft for below the snowman and some sparkly silver snowflakes from my friend, Benzi. Thanks Benz!
I watercolored the snowman, used crystal effects on the ornaments and dazzling diamonds on the snowman's body and face. Sponged clouds a real faint shade of blue to appear more wintry. Paper pierced the main mat.
I made the icicles by spreading a line of crystal effects on wax paper, spreading it down like icicles, then sprinkling dazzling diamonds on top. Left it to sit for several hours and then just peeled off the whole thing from the wax paper. Learned that in stamp class.
I used the SU Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch. It's great to use as it looks like ribbon, so you can use all the matching colors for a ribbon if you don't have one in your stash!
Think that's about it. Thanks for taking a look and have a great day!

Careful with all those nasty comments about my lack of dotted EF on my cards or I'll melt your snowman LOL! They have actually been VERY busy behind the scenes as I prep for our school's craft fair this Saturday. Think I tucker them out so much in the mass production side of things that they are in kahoots with the cat to hide them so they can nap and I can't use them - thus the dotted DP. However, nothing, I mean nothing, escapes the clutches of and addicted circle EF using stamper on a rampage. Tried to hide my geniusness with the dotted DP but you in your higher level of genius picked it up...I must be sneakier next time.
Think the snowman will be safe now that I've vented LOL! Love that blue and red together and your sparkly snow is wonderful. We have the real stuff here - can't believe it!!! They say we are in for a doozie of a winter on the West Coast so we will see how it all pans out. Off to a good start so far!!
