Congrats to Laurie! I had a wonderful time in your gallery. I chose Very Thankful to case. I kept the square card and mostly white bg, but changed the images and used sand as my secondary color. This is also for yesterday's IC challenge and I chose Wedding Cookie #2 . I liked the diamond grid pattern.
For my card, I stamped the wood bg image w/ taupe ink and attached it to a 5 x 5 square sand colored card. The next layer, I embossed w/ the diamond folder and also attached it to a slightly larger sand panel. I punched some tiny 1/8 inch holes out of the sand and glued them to the diamond pattern. I also punched a 1/2 inch sand circle and attached it to the upper left and glued a faux pearl (liquid pearls made on a scrap of white, then punched out w/ 1/4 inch punch for consistent round shape) on top.
The main image was stamped w/ the sand chalk ink and I used the out of the box Nestie technique to cut it out before attaching it to a sand panel. I spread the sentiment apart to fit behind the image and added some white grosgrain ribbon before attaching it to my card.
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.
