Tonite I babysat for my sweet grand daughter Olivia Lou, and came home to find my son in law trying to shoot a mouse under my refrigerator with his bee-bee gun. (sp???) is it really a bee-bee gun??? ANYWAY.....back out I went to our all night Kroeger for some mouse traps.....all night I'm gonna be picturing this little guy like he's as cute as a house mouse - like maybe he has found some cute little pose down stairs right now! Maybe he's painting a pansy, or playing the piano, or even all curled up in a cute winter hat.....and the poor little guy does not know his days are numbered.....his HOURS are numbered.....the dreaded TRAP. Okay, so in reality, he is NOT as cute as a house mouse and the only way I can sleep tonite is because my daughter told me mice can't climb stairs.....but what about tomorrow when I have to go DOWN the stairs to get ready for work and I'm the only one up, just me and Mr. Mouse......I am taking my trusty golden with me.....Luca will get em if the trap hasn't yet......man, I do not think I am gonna have sweet dreams tonite.....but then again, maybe he will hop on Luca's back and look all cute perched there and take a ride.....why do we think house mouses are so darn cute when real ones are very ugly????Anyway - you can see I am a bit distracted from my sketch tonite.....sweet dreams everyone, and I will sleep soundly, knowing now that mice don't climb stairs.....my daughter said so.......hope you like this card!! (Do you think it's true that mice don't climb stairs???)

I think it's true that Luca will protect you. Now a cat would actually go after the mouse. Mice have the odd characteristic of being adorable elsewhere but very ugly in our homes.
Love your card. The textures, coloring and layout are lovely.

Oh my, Karen! I always tell my daughter that we are MUCH bigger than they are. I hope your trap works and you can once again pad around the kitchen without fear. Your card is vivid and gorgeous!
