2) Friday's Free 4 All - Think Snow - link here: F4A27 Think Snow......Man! (8/27/10) by Jeanne S at Splitcoaststampers We were challenged to use snow in our project, as well as tools to distress something... I don't think I was successful at distressing anything although there's enough glitter layers on the main background panel that is ...could qualify...?
3) Saturday's Inspiration Challenge - link here: http://www.modcloth.com/store/ModClo...Partners+Print Found these cute litte guys and I immediately knew which stamp to use for these challenges - it went pretty quickly from there. Thanks Stef for this very unique and interesting website. Love these vintage style sites!!!
The biggest challenge for me is, that out of all my crafting supplies, I have no SNOW... so this was an experiment futility! To me this looks more like ice than snow LOL!!
The snowflakes on the background panel were stamped in Baja Breeze and Versamark, then embossed with Iridescent Ice. The main image panel was sponged in Baja Breeze, then versamarked and embossed in Iridescent Ice. It was also covered in versamark again, and then, using heat & stick powder, covered in Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. Still didn't get the effect I was after, so went through the process again using Clear Jumbo Glitter. I figured I could always start over - but after all that I kinda liked it!!!
The stamped Ice Sheet that the cuddly Mr. Penguin is standing on has Iridescent Ice on the sides and Jumbo Glitter on the top.
Thanks everyone for taking a peek!
Enjoy your night!
Audrey

Oh Audrey, I love this. The snow/ice effect is amazing. I must give this a try sometime. Love the colors, the sketch, the sewing, all of it - and that penguin, why I could just pick him up and give him a squeeze Whoever is the recipient of this card is going to LOVE it!
