This is my card for two challenges - WT282 which was to use a stick or needle or pin to make the card. My stick was the needle on my sewing machine which helped me to pierce around the oval.
It's also for F4A23 which was "Side Swiped". I thought for almost a week and couldn't seem to get the concept of this one, but today I saw this beautiful piece of 7 Gypsies dp and thought if I cut it out it would work. I love how it looks.
Image and sentiment are both Victorine Originals. Image is stamped on a green scrap of CS and attached to the back of the oval.
The oval is cut with my coluzzle, pierced with the needle on my sewing machine and edges are inked. So aside from the fact that my nice day is going downhill, I think I'm ok with it. Too late to start over. LOL

sometimes my nice days go downhill too...lol... that dp is beautiful and so perfect along the ege. I really like the oval. Reminds me of looking out the kitchen window at the tree line. very stick-y too! love that you used your sewing maching to just pierce the paper and not to sew on it.

Ooooh, how pretty!!! What a great idea to sew around the oval without the thread to create the piercing...toooo cool!!! Love that awesome border, too!!!

Wonderful card - I love that dp you cut and put as the border on the left - way to go with that challenge! I really like the sponging you did too. I think the sentiment going down hill kind of adds character. Beautiful card!
