It's time again for the annual Dare to Get Dirty challenges brought to the Splitcoast Fan Club Members by the Dirty Dozen/Dirty Dozen Alumni! The fun starts this morning (Sat July 17, 2010) and runs thru Friday July 23, 2010. There will be multiple challenges daily throughout this week! I'm hosting 2 of the challenges this year. My first one is this Limited Supply Challenge. Of course, you'll need to pop on over to DTGD Challenges Forum (and be a Fan Club Member) to see all the details.
I'm sharing with you the project I made for my challenge. All images are Our Daily Bread designs. This also works for the IC challenge today and I picked Crooked Country Cottage Brooch for my piece.
I started by sponging the pink/blue sky and green ground area, then stamped the tree scene twice. I stamped the cottage twice, colored with markers and a waterbrush then cut them both out. I layered the door and the left side shrubbery onto the original for a little depth, added a black punched strip and attached it to the background scene. The sentiment was also layered onto a black punched piece before attaching.
The large brick background was done by inking the inside of a Sizzix (Tim Holtz) brick embossing folder with baby blue ink, then embossing the two sections of white c/s. After embossing, I sponged on a little soft green and baby pink ink. A black layer was added as well as 2 faux brads.
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.
