It gave me the perfect opportunity to remake a card I did yesterday to make it quicker to construct and cheaper to mail.
Instead of attaching silver chord and hand tying bows, I used a cheap and easy embossing trick I used with my students back when I taught grade school. The lines and bows were drawn with a Bic pen! Did you know that the line drawn by a ball-point pen will hold embossing powder?? Now if I could only draw better!!
It works great for handwriting a pretty message inside a dark card as well!!
The pine bough, ornament, and sentiment were also embossed with clear embossing powder. The star along with the strings and bows were embossed with silver embossing powder.

Oh my gosh is this an elegant beautiful card!!!! I LOVE it!! Thanks for the great tip about the ball point pen. I just love how kind of on the simple side your card is, but oh so elegant. The embossing really makes this. Nice photo too.
