Since the Stampin' B's challenge was Summer Fun, I decided to make a card that would deplict something that this week's Hostess, NANCYRUTH, would consider Summer Fun. You see, NR LOVES the beach! She loves swimming in the ocean, too. And, these colors remind me of the 1980's! Remember when EVERY every house in the South was decorated in these colors??? I was in HIGH School, and remember going to my friend's houses and thinking, "Is Don Johnson going to come in any moment wearing his pastel jacket and white shoes and try to arrest someone?" If you don't get this, then, you are too YOUNG! LOL
I used Memento markers to color in the tree and stamped it onto the focal panel. Next, I used my Copics and airbrush to create the sand, water and sky. I decided on these colors because they matched the Capella designer paper.
The frame is a cut down Frameabilities die from Spellbinders. I sponged on Toile Palette Ink to highlight the embossed areas.
AND...the charm was pressed into VersaMark and embossed in Silver!
The bottom half of the card base was stamped in VersaMark and embossed in cream. The image used is a Sneak Peek of Flourishes and Frame.
Finished card size: 5" square
