Over the past weekend, I played with ideas for backgrounds. Sometimes if you do the same thing all of the time, artwork gets stale. This one has a BG made from layers of dress pattern tissue which was applied with gel medium. Painted with acrylic paints in pale pink and brown while wet, then overstamped with a large BG stamp, it gave me a platform for a vintage looking ATC. The embellishments include cheescloth dyed with strong coffee, and metal snaps and scissors that were originally silver, but colored black with alchohol ink from Ranger. Old buttons from my grandma's button box and a stray piece of thread complete the sewing theme.
