This is for today's challenge to take a virtual vacation and yesterday's challenge to mix patterned papers.
Around 1984, my DH took a position as a Project Manager for a large corporation that took us all over the U.S. Wow, what a trip - traveling at company expense. At the time, unfortunately, we were not campers. However, as many of you know, I now live at a campground, one we camped at for 20+ years - each year our rig getting bigger and better. Finally, we bought a Teton, 5th wheel - our all season dream come true. Our goal was to go full-time and revisit some of the wonderful places we had seen and to see what we had not. We were almost ready to go! Unfortunately, in 2008, my DH passed away and so did the Teton and the dream - but, oh, the wonderful memories that stay with me!
That being said, if I could go on my virtual vacation, it would be with my DH, in our Teton, just . . . MOVIN' ON. The moral to the story - don't forget to tell those you love that you love them....and, be nice! You never know.

Fabulous card Vicky! And thank goodness you have those special memories to hold onto. Good reminder to us all...it is all too easy to take things and people in our lives for granted. TFS your lovely creation and thoughts. Hugs!

Vicki, a real live story with a sadness that is bitter sweet on so many levels... I send you my love on all of those layers of life... TETONS.. wow we almost bought one... but the $$$ were a little too pricey for what we were going to be doing with... we moved from NJ and were headed to NM with a trailer for DH and Me.. .and also one for our HORSE... a Belgium that was totally spoiled... and we loved every minute of spoiling him too.. we only got to the mountains in NC and still are in love with them... so I know your feelings of being ON THE ROAD AGAIN... there is nothing like it..
Maybe some day you will again be back on the road traveling and seeing the world... you never know. Wonderful card that you have made sharing this experience of your life... and I send you my love.. and do hope that each day you can heal a little bit more... it is a hard thing to work thru when you are that close to the love of your life..
Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

Thanks for sharing those memories with us through this lovely card, Vicky. For me, that's another moral - share your memories.
DH always wanted to talk to my mother about all her experiences when she was younger and travelled so much, and write them down, but he left it too late.
ps - I like your signature - keep meaning to say that .

Vicky, you've created a very beautiful card that reflects those precious and personal moments shared with your DH. Your story is very inspirational and filled with wisdom. Thank you for sharing both.
