It's that time again - the Midnight Madness Challenge. I have to say I struggled a bit with this one. It's not my usual color combo either, but the patterned paper was so pretty and glittery, that I went with it.
There are weekly sketch challenges and prizes if you'd like to join in. It's loads of fun and a fantastic design team.
I used the SU image of a bird in a cage, but not sure it was too effective on this card. After coloring the image, I sponged the mat with taken with teal and then embossed with swirls ef. Used dazzling diamonds around the entire frame of the image for a little sparkle and added some bling and paper piercing.
The rest, I just did according to the layers of the sketch. I had planned on using 2 different patterned papers for the panels, but it just wasn't working, so I repeated the panels with the patterned paper used on the main panel.
I have tons of buttons, but never seem to find the right ones to use on cards, so I struggled with this part a ton. I opted to use less buttons than shown on the sketch.
I added prima flowers that I dyed to match the taken with teal paper and added bling to them. Added my sentiment wit the word window and modern label punches.
The first panel, the main mat for the image panel and the image panel itself were popped up on dimensionals.
Thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to look and have a fabulous weekend!!

Pam, this is beautiful. I love the DP and the shades of blue on the card from inking, flowers, buttons, etc. You did a fantastic job on it, and I may have to check out that challenge myself! I am a bit skeered to though because if you struggled with any part of it, I will be reaching out for a lifeline or something!

How pretty Fruitcake. You have lots of embellishments and are NOT afraid to use them! Love your papers, buttons and gems together - such pretty colors.
I'd have to run to the store and buy more stuff after I made a card with all those embellies! (Peggy knows I'm a hoarder.)
