oh......MAN!!! This one REALLLLLLLLLLLY took me out of my comfort zone.......I fell asleep 4 times trying to pick inspiration and then I thought, gee, good excuse to just skip it but it was eclectic friend Peggy who came up with this challenge, (you know how to pick em girl!!) so I HAD to play along......THis is what my non eclectic brain came up with......I do not have one particular piece that inspired me....Peggy inspired me and my inspiration was the overall feel of that website.....I am not overjoyed with this card by any means.....but I do think it is a good representation of some of the artwork on that website.....and since I worked so hard on it I'm putting it in the collage gallery today cuz if you ask me it's a collage.....phew - what a workout!!! Stephanie, can you pick some nice nature scenes next week maybe?????? Just kidding......they don't call it a challenge for nothin!! Happy Saturday everyone!! Happy Snow Day!! I will tell you one thing, left to itself my brain would have NEVER come up with this card.....hope you like it, (maybe more then i do??) Bwahahaha

I think you did a wonderful job with the challenge. This was a "toughie" for me too. Fun gallery to look at, but another thing to translate the essense into a card....I'm not talking about just getting a color palette. I see the Erte influence in your flowers and curves and composition.

Karen, you are way to hard on yourself... this is LOVELY... in fact one of the nicer cards you have done.. I love it... we all have to go out of our comfort zones ... it helps us to grow.. and you certainly did.. .I LOVE IT... a wonderfully inspired card... and that is truly what this whole challenge is all about... Also thanks for all the love and nice compliments you have been giving me.. .I really appreciate them... but that has nothing to do with what I have said above here...
This card is really a wonderful CARD... in all ways... but the best is that it came from Love in so many ways.. To show Peggy that you cared, to show yourself in the gallery today... and MAINLY because you were loving to yourself to GROW!!! I love it all.. Thanks for being YOU.

Your struggle turned out a lovely card, Karen. I'm glad I'm not the only one who struggled. Your collage does reflect the "feel" of the pieces in the website.
