My family is blessed to have our mom still with us, in good health and having just celebrated her 90th birthday last Thursday. I took her out to lunch and got a few photos of her with the many bouquets, gifts and birthday cards she received. She didn’t want a big celebration or anything, so we kept it low key, but she received many kind wishes and remembrances from people whose lives she has touched over the years. Very heartwarming. So, here is a page I did of my Mom on her 90th birthday. I’m posting it in the Scrap a Party variety challenge (SBVC106) - ‘cause it was a little party for a BIG occasion!!!
Journaling: "No one who knows Mom can believe she celebrated her 90th birthday on January 28, 2010. She doesn’t act 90, she doesn’t look 90, all that dark hair is her own and she’s in better health than half her kids! We’re all so grateful that Mom is going strong and doesn’t plan to change any time soon. Her doctor says she’s not allowed to call herself “old” until she turns 100 (and when that day comes, we’re sure we’ll still be marveling at her!)"

Aww! How sweet is she!?! And she doesn't look 90!
My grandma will be 90 next month. Unfortunately, since grandpa left us 2 years ago yesterday, she has been looking and acting her age.
