For Teapot Tuesday challenge 71, What do Snowmen do at night?
I live fairly deep in the South, where snowmen are mythological creatures and frozen lakes sound as exotic as grass skirts. So, I don't really have it on good authority, but I'm guessing maybe snowmen play on those fabulous frozen lakes at night (have you heard, there are skates with blades for ice, instead of wheels for sidewalks?) Luckily we're having hot chocolate at the tea party -- Southerners have thin blood and get cold easily, you know.
I created this little scene with some stickers. Sketched in the ice pond with colored pencils, then put on a layer of crystal effects to give the pond an icy appearance. Sketched in the sky with colored pencils, then sponged ink over it, using a torn paper to create the horizon.

As I sit here late this evening catching up on the darling Teapot Tuesday creations, such as yours, we're having blizzard like weather. Sometimes I wish I lived in the southern states so I wouldn't have to put up with this cold, white stuff anymore, but I do love it for Christmas. Your sparkly ice pond of skaters brings back wonderful childhood memories, too. Very cute!

how adorable. love the icy lake, lots of that around here in the winter, and for someone who has only heard that it may exist, you did a great job. I'd send you some of those mythilogical creatures if I could but they don't travel south of the Mason-Dixon line very well....
