Hi! This card was made for today's Sketch Challenge.
I love this ornament, and I use it often. Why? Because, when I was VERY young, Big Grand-daddy had ornaments all over his tree that looked like this. I found out, MUCH later, that those ornaments were VERY old, and that I was the only person allowed to hang those ornaments other than my grandfather. Not even my grandmother was allowed to touch them! My aunt told me that the ornaments had belonged to my great-grandmother, and that I looked a lot like her. (I don't think so...I really look like Big Grand-daddy's wife, my paternal grandmother, but who am I to argue?LOL)
The background was stamped with Musical Score in Burnt Umber. The Ornament was stamped in Burnt Umber, cut out, and sponged with Palette Toile Pink and then Moulin Rouge.

So pretty! I love the red patterned paper. Great ornament. I remember ornaments like that from my youth.........and no, I am not as old as your great grandfather!

Speedy loves ornaments?!! I hope you don't have grandad's antiques on your tree and that Speedy loves to bat at them like many cats do!!! What a gorgeous card (the obvious needs to be stated!!) and, what a lovely memory of yesteryear you've shared with us...
