Jeanne's challenge today was to use spooky Halloween colours, but it didn't have to be a Halloween card. So, I made a baby card for a friend. Some of you might remember that I made an orange and black card with knitting a while back for her birthday, so this is not quite as off-the-wall as it looks.
I also feel this qualifies for Kelly's WOW04 challenge which is to be inspired by the word *expend*. I expended a lot of time and energy in work this morning trying to think how to make an orange and black baby card!! And I expended more time trying to fit the orange triangles and the Labels panel onto a very small piece of orange card, which is now totally expended.
Less than four embellishments - I used loopy brads to hang my name banner, silver cord for the banner and green gems on the pram wheels.
5 3/4 square base. The pram was stamped on orange card and cut with Labels 1, then layered on a black layer; I pierced round the black layer. The banner is just little triangles with the letters drawn on and stuck onto silver cord. The little baby Roo was printed on photo paper and cut out. Before layering the pram onto the black I cut a slit down the line of the hood and along the top, so that I could slip Roo in.

Oh GOOD EXPENDED EFFORT, Sabrina! I love the little pitter patter words, and how cute this orange baby card is! LOVE the banner and little Roo peeking out of that sweet carriage...a new Mom expends a great deal of energy on a baby so that is double extra credit points for you!
