When I was looking at the deets for this week's Teapot Challenge, this cute little $1 Mummy stamp was sitting next to me on my desk. Out of the corner of my eye I swore I saw his head lift off the block and look at the screen but when I look back it was as it was. So...I just thought I really needed sleep. Then when I saw the picture of Zeek in his red and black stripe jumpsuit like DLR, he talked. Really! He convinced me to let him come. He thought it was a costume party. Easy mistake by the look of Zeke, after all.
This is Zander the black and white Mummy, or at least he started out black and white. Mummies improve with age you know, and well, I guess he is very old.
He seems to think he can scare the red stripes right off of Zeke. Hee.
Ever since, I first saw Zander, I knew I wanted to do this with him, I cut each and every little Mummy gauze piece and inked it and glued it back on. Yep, I sure did. I won't do it again, but I just had ta. Isn't he cute?! And of course his coffin/tomb came with him. Hee. I know, back door right?
Thank you for looking.

Oh good grief would you look at this. Now I see what your creative mind has been working on. I can't believe you cut all those little pieces out. The sentiment is perfect and that spider web is amazing. LOVE this Lisa. Hugs.

This is so cute. We will see where the "mummy" directs Zeke.
Wow, so much cutting and gluing. That is such a great idea to make it look 3D. Love the sentiment, too.

Oh my, Lisa!! This is awesome, and must have taken you ALL day!!! Wow, cutting apart all those pieces!! You would think of something so creative like that!! That spider web looks wonderful... now I would have taken the easy way out, and use "faux" stitching with my white pen. LOL But you are always doing that fabulous hand stitching!! LOVE LOVE this one, Lisa!
