Hmmm, I probably should have named this card a little different than what it is. It should be "BAD CAT". My cat whose name is Oreo has been peeing on the carpet...luckily its in my den. But still. So, out comes the carpet shampoo AGAIN! So, it has got me thinking about whether or not to keep her. She is only 1 years old too. Any suggestions?
Anyhow, when I saw the Inspiration Challenge tonight from the store Creative Wall Coverings I knew I had to make my card using the cats from the inspiration I found in the bathroom gallery http://www.creativewallcovering.com/...untrycats.html.
This is my story:
I started out by making the center panel. I hand drew the dotted lines and added the strips with the white signa pen. Let dry. I went back over them using a tan sharpie. Have you tried that before? I cut 2 smaller panels for the sides that have the cats on them. I hand drew the dotted lines and the lines for each of the panels as close as I could to the picture using sharpies. Adhered. I used the small square punch for the diamonds. I hand wrote the sentiment using the white signa pen, let dry, and went back over the words using the sharpie pen as well. Adhered to tan colored c/s...(don't really know what color this is). I added random specs using a black pencil in between the squares. I had gotten this stamp set of 4 cats from a garage sale awhile back but don't know the name of it. I stamped a few cats with black, more mustard, and tea dye inks onto the back of watercolor paper. I colored them using prismacolor pencils, odorless mineral spirits, and blending stumps. Went back over on a few cats with the white pen. Some of the cats are held on with pop dots as well as another cut out image with a pop dot to get the effect of a 3D look. A couple of cats are just laying flat. The 2 side panels, the cats are on there with pop dots. I enjoyed making this card but at the same time, I kept thinking of my cat...what am I going to do? Thanks for the challenge and have a great Saturday!
What do you think?

Bonnie, this doesn't look nothing like the quilt wall covering. This came out cute though. Love what you did with all the kitties, so cute. Great take on the inspiration piece.

Yes! We did choose similar inspiration pieces, and isn't it cool to see how we came up with different ideas? I love your cat theme and can think of many of my friends who would go crazy over your card! Very cute, Bonnie!
I'm allergic to cats, so I can't help you with that one, except maybe to check with your vet for ideas.

So adorable!!
I had some issues this summer, when we went on vacation this summer I changed to scoopable litter for the convinence of my BFF that was pet sitting. Came home to some surprises in the bathtub! At least that was a easy cleanup. As soon as we went back to our reg old litter the issues stopped. Is Oreo a male kitty?? Is he "fixed"?? Sometimes they have to mark their territory?? Hope you can figure it out. Cats are wonderful pets! There is one laying by my chair now.
