That's where you need to go to join the California Bovine Teaparty.
This is Marla the Guernsey cow. What you don't recognize her? Well, when she got out to California, they laughed at her when she tried to be a Happy Cow, becuase apparently you have to be Holstein to be Happy. She left the auditions very depressed. She walked for awhile and before she knew it she was at the ocean. She sat and marveled at the sight. It was the first time she had seen the ocean. Just relaxing there in the California sun it reenergized her. She decided that she would not give up. She went to the local cow beauty shop. She had her hair and makeup done. She changed her name to Felicity,(because she thought that sounded HAPPIER than Marla.) She hired an agent. He told her that she might have a better chance in her audition if she had some headshots taken. She went to a photographer who suggested taking her picture in a field of BUTTERcups. So she is headed back to the auditions. Wish her luck.
If you have a talented cow who wants to join her and all the other cows in CA, just check out this: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I used a digital image of a cow from 123coloring.com. I added a cowhide print frame. I quilled some little buttercup flowers. I colored the image with prisma colored pencils. I added ribbon and twine to finish it up.

I think this could become one of those new reality TV shows. Bovine Makeovers. Needs a catchier title. Felicity is adorable and you are once again leading the pack with your creativity!

Oh, I just love Marla's field of buttercups.
Your story reminds me of a book my mother had when she was little, Ferdinand the bull. When he was little, he loved being in the fields and smelling the flowers. But on the day the toreadors came to choose the fiercest bull, he'd just been stung on the nose by a bee, and he was bucking and dancing - so they thought he was fierce and took him. But when they put in the bull ring, he wasn't fierce at all, so all the matadors and picadors and toreadors couldn't do anything to provoke him. And, he could smell all the roses that the ladies were wearing in their hair, so he just sat in the middle of the ring and smelled the flowers.
So in the end, they let him go and brought him back to his meadow.
Maybe he'll be happy to share it with Marla .

Felicity is looking fine, but I think she might be disqualified for not being all natural - if you know what I mean. I'm wondering what other work she has had done!
What a cute card. Love those buttercups!
