Didja hear? Didja hear the 'citin' news?!?! Kermit is coming to da Muddermark's tea party today! Word is that we'll be sippin' our tea on a soft, cushy lilypad while listenin' to Kermie sing his "It's Not Easy Bein' Green" song.
So, why not grab your stamps and creativity and join us at the tea party? Remember, we're floating on lily pads today, so you might want to wear an outfit that you don't mind if it gets wet. Sometimes the tea parties get a little rowdy (some of the guests---who shall remain nameless to protect their innocence---get a bit schnockered). I can just see some of the others trying to hop from lily pad to lily pad and dunking the guests.
My card also fits a few of the Dare to Get Dirty challenges posted on Splitcoaststampers and available to those who are fan club members. My card fulfills the following challenges:
1. Lauraly (tie one on using ribbon). I first used my SU spiral punch on the side of my cardstock so I could do a different kind of ribbon weave.
2. Kittie747 (make a scene). I think this one is obvious.
3. Becca Stamps (cut it out using punches, dies, etc.) I used my square Nestabilities (reverse framing), my spiral punch, and my Sizzix daisy die.
4. DeborahLynneS (taken with texture). I used googlie eyes and I quilled the sun. Note: This is my first time trying quilling, which also fits the SCS Technique challenge from yesterday to quill, so I did something simple with a sun.
5. debdeb (moved by the music). I love all kinds of music and have been known to break out into song at the slightest provocation...much to the chagrin of my friends since I can't carry a tune very well. Deb challenged us to use our favorite song or any piece in general that moves us. Like I indicated in my blog, the lyrics to this song have a terrific message.

I think your frog looks so pleased because he/she just met all those challenges. The big challenge though is going to be staying on the lily pad. Very creative card.

This is so cute, Charlene! Your little froggy is precious (if a frog can be precious!) and the design of your card is fantastic! Love the punched flower on the side! Very creative!

Oh my Charlene. What a fun card. Did Kermit make it yet...I love that song. The kids and I loved to hear over and over again! So no jumping for me this week. I'm an overseer here, just playing chaperon to the young froggy couple, so I must be on my best behavior. LOL Could that really be!

Wow - the lacing, your die cuts, and your color choices are excellent on this card. It looks really, really good, and I love your lilly pads. It is great how you fit all those challenges in too.
I think it is good that the lilly pond does not appear to be too deep - there are a lot of rowdy people here. Your frog appears to definitely be calm and relaxed. I think Al and Sam may move over here by him.

Charlene, shame on me for even thinking that you'd be slinging pond scum or something of the ilk to catch other lily-pad-sittin'-frogs off their balance!
But not! Here you are with you usual adorable creation lulling us into thinking all is well. I haven't caught up with everyone's cards/comments yet, so I am just a tad suspicious that I am missing somethin' here.
It's okay. Rest easy. I really tend to gravitate toward rabble-rousers ... ergo, I'll be hopping over to a lily pad very nearby to your so that I don't miss a thing!
Your froggie and scene are uber adorable. Love the ribbon treatment. Oh heck, I love all of it as I do all your cards!
(Psssst ... did I hear something about adult beverages being served ... or did I read too much into the prior comments today?)
