This is my card for today's WT, to use buttons. Hope to be back with another card later, as I'm not entirely happy with this one. It sort of grew around the button, rather than having the button added at the end.
The button is the spare from one of my winter coats. I thought it would work with an Asian feel, but my desk was too messy to find some Chiyogami paper, so instead I used this slightly shimmery blue paper from Stamp Muse. It was slightly narrow than my 53/4" base that I needed to accommodate the flower, so I trimmed it square, punched the corners and sponged the edges with gold. The petals were stamped on a scrap of red card with gold ink and embossed with clear EP, as I didn't want a bright gold effect. I made a stem by tying a bow in two strands of Mizuhiki cord, twisting the long loose ends together and binding with a bit of wire. Then I stuck on the petals with foam. Then I pierced around them with the brass template that goes with the set, and added gold faux stitching. I also embossed a few random stars for texture. Then it was just a case of adding the button, and that's it. Luckily the sun came out just in time to pick up the embossing! It's very warm here today, but mostly overcast.

Sabrina, this is beautiful and I love that you designed the card around the button! Now that I've seen how you've used Pick a Petal, I'll actually need to put my set together and put it into some stamp action. That brilliant button, gold embossing, faux stitching and Mizuhiki cord make for one gorgeous card!
