As Cindy gave us a preview of the inspiration for this week, I've been sitting on her doorstep waiting for the teaparty to begin, LOL. Here's her blog, and amazing detailed card. A zip that doesn't zip, my goodness. And the PERFECT background stamp to make her paper. I was wishing I had a stamp like that all day yesterday. http://mothermark.blogspot.com/2009/...uesday-33.html
I made my card yesterday because a card I was meant to be making for a customer just isn't coming together. I think I'll have to say no - she's made too many specifications and it's turning into a chore, which is a no no.
Anyhows, even though I sneaked in early I still sneaked in the stipulation of it being a purse that opened or a card with pockets, or zips. That was a happy accident .
I used a template from Klutz and some handmade orange stitched paper from Clairefontaine, and made this little purse card. I used some WRMK hardware for the links in the handle, and the fastener. Actually, it closes with a Basic Grey magnetic closure, but I thought this looked a bit like the teapot bag. I just made a little 9 cm square card for the inside, stamped with Hero Arts Small Paisley Designs, a computer generated sentiment and a Rubbadubbadoo handbag stamp stamped on the same paper as the bag. Punched corners and a few little gems and that's it. I guess something like a gift of money or book-token would fit inside too. There's plenty of room, because I made it with gussets which weren't in the original template.

I need a new purse and this would be awesome! The sentiment is the greatest. I love the hardware that you added. Certainly a great teapot challenge card!!!
