Hi! This card was made for today's Limited Supply Challenge: Clean and Simple Cards.
The challenge was to make a card using a standard by an SCS member. Susan's post said:
"for those of us who don't do techniques that require anything like "talent" or "skill," who don't layer our cards into inch-thick confections of pure gorgeousness, who don't have all the latest nesties or copics, who don't have coloring skills above kindergarten level, and who do love to make clean and simple and, most of all, EASY cards..."
Well, this card is back to the basics for me...I started out stamping with few layers, scraps of old newspaper clippings from the 40's (back when they used LEAD paint!) and ribbons and buttons...(Of course, that was during my HIGHSCHOOL days...the days of the mimeograph machine....
The images were stamped and cut out...Why? Because YOU try to cut a mask and make it work with that key!!! I've had MUCH experience with that heart and key from a previous stamping experience... and I can PROVE I can't do it...I have a special place in my REJECT basket filled with double stamped, cut off, smeared and key suicides! LOL! I colored them with SU! markers, my stand-by favs.
Oh, and NONE of my cards have EVER been an inch thick. NONE of them. I've been tempted...LOL
4 layers plus the heart and key. No dots, except on the ribbon. And...it took 8 minutes to make! Finished card size is 4 1/2" square.
