Today's Lesson from the Craft Room: Go at your own pace.
So I woke up this morning still feeling like a truck ran over me (not sure if it's the bronchitis or a reaction to the antibiotics). I was wondering if I had enough energy to get out of bed, let alone create a card. But I walked into the craft room and sat down and decided to go at my own pace. No hurry, no rush, just step by step, piece by piece. Calling this card Thankful Blooms is no coincidence - I am so very thankful that I was able to go at my own pace and make this card bloom! I'm feeling better already!
I used a mat stack that I had bought years ago and distressed the edges of the card stock. I stamped the eastern blooms images and then roughed them up a bit too and used a little crystal effects in the middles and sprinkled some dazzling diamonds for a bit of sparkle. The greeting was embossed on card stock and punched with an oval punch and then I hand cut the second (chocolate chip) oval to highlight the greeting. I disguised a paper fastener as a brad on the ribbon.
