If you click on the link below, you will see a very PRETTY...well, ok...Somewhat pretty crocodile design. I thought, WOW, I have a CB folder that would work and I could use that as my background and draw some sort of crocodile to go with it. It would be CUTE! I mean, how hard could it be???
Well...Needless to say (as you can see for yourself!) that the more I swiped the Colorbox black ink around my CB crocodile scales, the more UGLIER it got!!!!! I kept thinking.....EEWWWWW!!! This isn't like the picture in the link!!! How am I gonna salvage this?
THEN, I remembered that I had a stamp from River City Rubberworks that I had never inked up and thought that it would be appropriate with this UGLY bg!!!! So, I dug it out and inked it up! It says: Be what you is. If you old and ugly, then Be old and ugly, But Be What You Is!
My hubby agreed when I showed him the card. He said, and I quote "That sure is one UGLY card!" (He may just get this one for his b-day! Hehehe).
Well, there you have it! This card may never see the inside of a sent envelope, but this was my inspiration and it does exist! Hehe! Now, I'll get some caffeine in me and see if I can do a little better on my next try for the Inspiration Challenge!

WOW! The scales look great. I don't think it's ugly at all. Great job!

Too funny! I LOVE the alligator skin...very cool! The sentiment is hilarious! You know, IC cards are so fun to make, but most of mine I wouldn't send to anyone because they are 'weird' unless you see the IC piece with them!

I have to say, I looked at that same inspiration piece and thought about it for a split second but then got confused and moved on! I knew immediately though which one you had chosen so that tells me you did something right!
Yes, give it to hubby...snort! And if he is really young and really good-looking, a Brad Pitt type, then tell him eventually he will grow old and wrinkled and will be just distinquished looking, a Sean Connery type and that this card on his birthday is to remind him of that! Giggle!

This Cracks Me Up! I love it...it perfectly matches the towel, but more importantly, it reminds ALL Stampers that we are not perfect and sometimes the most imperfect cards needs to remind us to relax and just enjoy the process...I know that's what this did for me! TFS!

This is very funny! I thought about this for inspiration, but got no further...you have hit upon a great idea with that sentiment...and I think you should indeed give it to DH for his BD!

What a great card. I liked the crocodile skin one too, but I didn't have anything to make it with. That sentiment is so humorous. It goes so well with your card.
