Thanks Beth for the early posting and congratulations to Barbara for being selected the Featured Stamper on this last Sunday in 2008. Your gallery has so many interesting altered projects and neat cards. I sketched out three and hope I'll get to case another one. I was absolutely fell for this one with the gorgeous color combination and dimension to it.
What I changed in the case was used different stamps, paper and left the black ribbon off. I kept the layout and the script on the main image panel.
I inked Stamp Francisco's woman painter with TH di walnut stain onto GP white cs. I cut her out and placed her on script that is artist names from Judikins 'Treasure Cube'. I inked this stamp with TH di broken china that was stamped off once before applying to my cs. The beautiful background paper is Cosmo Cricket's Fleuriste paper group. I cuttled some of the panels with paisley, hearts, and d'vine swirl. The sentiment comes from the above Cosmo Cricket. I cut it in two to make it fit. Silk ribbon was used to create a tab on the sentiment. I added a pewter heart to one of the panels for interest. The whole piece is mounted on SU black and the cardbase is GP white cs.
I love this image of the woman artist. We are all artists with paper, inks, brushes, scissors, pens, computers, and so much more. I celebrate you today and encourage you to take a step outside your comfort zone and let your creative muse run....
Thanks so much for your delightful comments on my art...that is my encouragement! Enjoy your spotlight day, Barbara! Be blessed!

What a beautiful take on Barbara's card. I love this image Susan, you have a fine taste for the nostaligia look. Don't know if that's the right expression, I know there is vintage, but that was not quite what I was aiming for. So anyway I love what you did with the layout and the colors. VAVOOM!
