For Lydia's Enter the MatrIX challenge.
I have to confess that while I quite like "recipe" challenges, as someone who is in the "follow the rules" camp, I'm sometimes struggling. For instance, I'd already used watercolour medium (powder sprinkled on a craft sheet, misted and used to print the stencil) and a spray, so away goes another stencil and the texture medium because I'd already used two items from the first column.
Dry embossing OR ribbon? Darn, I shouldn't have dry-embossed my leaves but they needed a little extra something, so I decided that embroidery floss isn't really ribbon. But I put the sequins away.
Printed the stencil background. The leaves were punched from the piece of card I laid on the craft sheet to use up the colour on it. Some are popped up on foam tape. I heat-embossed the sentiment to help it stand out, and added a gold floss bow just because...

I know what you mean about being law-abiding. I think I hear the footsteps getting louder on my card. HAHAHA Wonder if they will let us have craft items in our cell? This is beautiful, Sabrina, and I love your stencil and the bit of green on your leaves. The bow is really pretty and shiny, also.

I am a recipe/follow the rules person too! Loved the challenges we used to have almost every week with recipes. So this one was fun. I love your leaves and the stencil. Beautiful ribbon too!

I so know what you mean about "follow the rules" but some days I have to think...what if I look at it this way then am I still "breaking the rules". Because some days it can be fun to push the boundaries. I think I read once that the challenges are an inspiration...so I go with that rule and then I did not break any rules. Giggles...
Ok on to this fantastic card...Oh my goodness the goodies in that BG and those leaves that you soaked up the fantastic color on your mat are wonderful and love that they are trimmed in the darker color on the edges. It really finishes them off very nicely. Such a pretty card Sabrina.

So very pretty. I love the leaves on your card, but my leaves are falling in the yard and they do not look so pretty. The gold cord was a perfect addition to your fab card.

Well, my subscription notifications are still not working reliably, so I had to come looking for this card. I am glad I did. I love your partial stenciling on the BG of this and smart of you to let it take center stage. Those scattered leaves are a lovely "frame". And the color palette of this card is just so pretty!

Sabrina- love your take on this challenge (and I know what you mean about rules) :-) The leaves look fabulous with the stenciled background and that sentiment is perfect for this time of year!! Thanks for the inspiration, my friend!
