What says summer & sand in stamping besides SUs Seaside Sketches or Summer by the Sea? To me, nothing! These are my go to sets & today I used Seaside Sketches. I thought of going to the beach to get some real sand but was afraid of what else I might come home with!! Like a sunburn because I wouldn't want to leave. haha
I stamped my image on Vellum for Wendy's 'wee bit of vellum' challenge (F4A224). I colored on the backside with Specrum pens. Tiffany's MIX challenge is to show some summer & sand. For my sand I used FlowerSoft sand. I cut the ovals with CM cutting system & used the swirly ef in the bug with Bermuda Bay. I then die cut the small sand dollar & here I am with my card.
These were fun challenges today. Thanks ladies.
Thanks for stopping by.

Love this card! I had forgotten about stamping on vellum & coloring on the back! Not sure if I will get a card made today (did a LOT of outdoor manual labor today!) but if I do, I think this is the technique I want to use!

A clever way to use the vellum and you are using one of my favorite stamp sets.

Wow! Way to rock your challenges! Love the vellum and how you colored it and your sand looks awesome! Love the sand dollar! Wish I lived close enough to the beach to just be able to go get sand... I miss it so much! Used to live in Maine and very near to it. :(

What a beautiful card, Karen. Love the sand and details like the swirling embossing folder around her. Love this set!

Karen, this is fabulous. I love these stamps from SU. Never gave them a thought when I saw this challenge. I guess I had too much sand in my head - lol! Your coloring is wonderful. Such a wonderful be achy scene :-)

What a beautiful card. I love the green that you used and the bkg ef is perfect. Coloring on the back of the vellum produced such a nice look. Great design -layout on this stunning card.
