For last Tuesday's Teapotter Tickle challenge, Sabrina asked the Teapotters to make cards w/lighthouses. (The last wk of most months the Teapotters exchange cards with each other and it is called the Tickle.) I didn't have a lighthouse stamp so I Googled "free lighthouse coloring pages" (I'd seen other SC gals note in their descriptions that their image was a coloring page so I tried it.) I liked this image and chose to use it. I didn't have the exact SU colors for last Tuesday's CC so I subbed yellow, blue and tangerine watercolor pencils to add color to the image. I did use a SU blue-tone ink across the bottom (stamped it off once to get a lighter bkgrd for my sentiment.) I did have SU tangerine and a SU green/blue color carstock, which I used. I am also submitting my card for Wednesday's SC and to the SOS136 challenge for an "outdoorsy" card.
Thank you for looking!

Gabby, this is wonderful. You've really captured why lighthouses are really there - it's not for the sunny days and beautiful sunsets or sunrises but for the dark stormy nights.

Ooo... it's beautiful! Great idea to use a free image to colour! I love the beam of light coming from the tower. Great colouring. Thanks for playing along with our Sketch Challenge this week!

WOW, and wow. I love this awesome card. Great job, getting the beam of light in there, and it brings the eye , to the crescent moon, behind the storm clouds. You rocked the stormy seas, with the waves splashing at the foot of this gorgeous lighthouse. This is a wonderful scene, of a stormy night at sea. I just love everything about this awesome card. Into my faves. tfs.

Now, THIS is why we had lighthouses in the first place - to guide us through stormy seas!! Kind of how I ask God to guide me thru rough times! Perfect picture and I love how you colored it!!
