I was discussing 'Long Walk to Freedom' only yesterday - and I knew I had a stamp that would be perfect to pay tribute to this amazing book by Nelson Mandela.
The stamp says 'Simple Pleasures' and I did not want to put a banner over them, so ... I printed the words on the computer, made a mask and stamped the image. I could not have got it placed exactly without my stamp-a-ma-jig !! I added the South African Flag colours as background.
Thank you Michelle (Tygerpaws11) for thinking up this challenge with a difference !!

What a truly beautiful and inspiring card you've made in honor of a great man and leader. I love the image and the colors of the flag are an inspired accent.

What a great card for today's challenge - very inspirational. My niece married a South African earlier this summer and one of the wedding favours was little beaded flags, so I spotted the colours instantly. They're a great contrast to the wonderful black and white image. I've read Cry the Beloved Country, but this book is one I haven't read.

what a perfect image for your inspiration......the 'flag' element reminded me that I have an official ballot from the South African free election when Mandela was elected president.....am going to have to find it....haven't seen it for a bit.....there were so many candidates.....
