When I saw Dina's Challenge to shade with black I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. I decided to stamp my butterflies using Mark's Finest Papers set called CRACKED HELLO. I used black stazon ink. Then I tea stained the paper. I shaded them with black water color paint. When they had dried I added a few white highlights with a white prisma colored pencil. I printed black and white digital paper. I tea dyed it as well. I stamped the sentiment from another Mark's Finest Papers set called GLAD GLADS. I used this week's sketch challenge. I really like how this card turned out.

Again you blow me away. MariLynn, your butterflies maintain their beautiful integrity, even with so much black. Love the tan to complement the black.

Glad you conquered that fear and brought your own style to it! Love the description of your process with the tea-dyeing and all. Thank you for playing along!
