This is a card I made for the Sketch Challenge 88. I love how it turned out. The flower is a ghost shaped colored with alcohol inks. The background is actually a piece of transparency film colored with alcohol inks as well.

For those who asked how to do the flower, it was actually very easy. I started out with a ghost shape. For those who do no know what that is, it is a clear shape made out of thick acetate (you can see them here). I laid it out on a piece of paper and then put a few drops of alcohol ink on my dabber. I used 4 colors on this flower... a few drops each of wild plum, eggplant, stream and silver. The really cool thing about this technique is that you really only need to dab on the flower once or twice, as the color just spreads across it so quickly with all the colors marbling together. You will never get the same exact look twice, but they are so very pretty. Thank you for the great comments. Let me know if you do try it yourself. I would love to see yours as well.
