This is for LSC58 to make a sympathy card for someone who has lost a child. I searched on Google and found this lovely poem and thought it would be beautiful on vellum over a child scene of some sort. It touched close to our home as my husband's twelve year old son lost his battle last year to Cerabral Palsy. Thank you Jen for making us stop and think on how best to help our friends and loved one who may go through this terrible loss.
I stamped on Bashful Blue cardstock with going gray. I didn't want to use black and have it over power the words on the poem. I lightly colored the image and hoped it wouldn't run with the water and reinkers. Luckily, it didn't. I used a sponge dauber and sponged white craft ink in the sky with the cloud template to make the clouds. I then colored in with blue to make more definition so the coulds would show up through the vellum. I added white craft to the ocean and then touched it with touquoise. The sand is just painted with creamy caramel. I wanted the scene to have definition that would still allow the poem to be in the fore front. I attached the vellum to the cardstock with glue dots and covered each one with gingham.

This brought tears to my eyes. Such a great poem. The stamping and coloring made a perfect background. Thanks for taking the time to give us details. Too many people post without any info.
