This card is for my hubby, we've got our 10th wedding anniversary next week, and since we won't be at home, I had to prepare the card for him early.
I stamped the hearts stamp with StazOn Jet Black onto white Chromolux cardstock, then brushed a little bit Teykol resist medium just beside the stamped lines. Then I sponged Ranger Adirondack Inks in several shades of red onto the cardstock, leaving the upper left corner to only the lightest shades and getting gradually darker towards the lower right corner. I attached the piece onto some black and red cardstock. Then I took a piece of Black Magic cardstock (that's black cardstock with a colored core which gets exposed when you emboss, tear, sand or whatever "damage" it) and used it with a cuttlebug embossing folder, then sanded it to reveal the red core. I attached all the pieces onto a red card. I sponged a Tim Holtz Grungeboard Heart with red and black ink, added a sheer bow and used this as embellishment.
I hope he'll like it.
